Città delle Idee, Solferino 28 – Istallazione progettata da Mario Cucinella Architects nella sede storica de “Il Corriere della Sera”.

Milan Design Week 2026 has just come to a close, leaving a significant mark on ISA’s journey. The company participated in Fuorisalone with a widespread and multifaceted presence, successfully engaging diverse audiences and generating high foot traffic, dialogue, and interest around the themes of design, hospitality, and custom design. A packed schedule of events transformed every space into a concrete opportunity for exchange with visitors, strategic partners, and potential collaborators.

ISA’s presence at the Città delle Idee, in the courtyard of Solferino 28, was situated within one of the most significant and visited settings of Fuorisalone 2026. The installation designed by Mario Cucinella Architects transformed the Corriere della Sera courtyard into a veritable temporary plaza—a place for rest, gathering, and dialogue—conceived as a metaphor for a lighter, more sustainable city focused on the exchange of ideas.
In this setting, characterized by a 3D-printed modular structure and architecture that becomes lighter as it rises, ISA presented the Special Editions of Genesis – an innovative multifunctional refrigerated storage unit – as concrete examples of how technology can become a piece of furniture and an active part of the spatial design. Placed along a path that culminated in a central agora, ISA’s products engaged with the installation’s curatorial concept, helping to enliven a space that was intensely experienced by visitors, designers, and industry professionals.
The City of Ideas thus confirmed itself not only as an exhibition showcase but as a place for dialogue and connection, perfectly in line with ISA’s vision of design capable of uniting function, aesthetics, and design culture, and of telling new stories about how to inhabit and experience contemporary spaces.

There was also a large turnout at the Faema Flagship Store on Via Forcella, where ISA participated in the “Affinity by Faema” project. Here, the concept of a bar was reimagined as a Ho.Re.Ca. ecosystem, moving beyond the traditional view of the counter as merely a support for the coffee machine. Within a hybrid format that combined a listening bar, a Milanese lounge, and a cultural space, the collaboration between ISA and Faema gave rise to an integrated design system, in which furnishings and technologies stem from a single vision.
Among the most significant moments was the Live Talk held on April 22 at the Faema Flagship Store, which served as a key summary of the “Affinity by Faema” project and the collaboration between Faema and ISA. The well-attended event sparked an open discussion on the future of the bar space and the role of design as a tool for fostering relationships and culture in the Ho.Re.Ca. sector. The dialogue between Maria Vittoria Rinaldi, Faema’s Brand Manager, and Andrea Fisac, Marketing Manager at SpazioISA, centered on the concept of “Affinity” as a design and strategic alignment between complementary expertise: from the coffee machine to café furniture, from technology to the customer experience. A shared vision emerged that moves beyond fragmented design to embrace a holistic approach, in which the bar counter becomes the relational heart of the space, generating conviviality and identity. The talk sparked a reflection on the bar as an ecosystem, rather than merely the sum of technical elements: a place designed to welcome, convey values, and foster authentic relationships. The synergy between ISA and Faema has thus established itself as a design manifesto capable of reinterpreting the traditional dynamics of the Horeca sector in a contemporary key.

Fuorisalone 2026 was the ideal opportunity for ISA to present and introduce SpazioISA Academy, opening the doors to a space designed to welcome visitors and convey the company’s vision of bespoke design and design culture within the Ho.Re.Ca. sector. During Design Week, the space on 23 Morimondo Street became a natural stop along the route, bustling with visits, events, and moments of dialogue with professionals and partners.
The highlight was the open house on April 23, when SpazioISA Academy opened its doors in an informal and convivial atmosphere – in collaboration with the Callebaut Chocolate Academy – offering a concrete opportunity to discover the space as a place for discussion, training, and the exchange of expertise. A debut that reinforced SpazioISA Academy’s role as an open and constantly evolving platform, dedicated to contemporary design and education.

Rounding out the Fuorisalone roadmap, ISA’s presence at AA Consultant solidified the dialogue with the world of high-end residential interior design. The installation of the Hizone Kitchen, an ISA brand born from the meeting of Antonio Citterio’s design vision and ISA’s technical know-how, attracted the interest of international designers and clients, demonstrating how the performance of a professional kitchen can naturally integrate with contemporary living.
